good inexpensive amps

Orion amps are pretty good. I have a mono block-orion 1200d, and a 4 channel- 8004. The 1200d is bnib, and the 8004 is used but you wouldnt be able to tell if i didnt tell ya. I'll sell them both to ya for 400$+shipping.

The local dealers will help you out when if you have problems, ebay you can forget it... Lots of the amps I repair everyday come from Ebay sellers, people getting screwed over... just not a good idea, but I understand the budget, buying amps, even new amps, on ebay is kind of a buy at your own risk or an as-is sell kinda deal no matter what their ad says... however, on that same note, if you see a seller has really good feedback and lots of it you are likely okay with that seller, at least you won't get a DOA amp anyway...

I wasn't overly impressed with the little 100.4pzi amp myself.... but I didn't want to say that... I don't know if they still make the HiFonics Titan series, but some of those 4 channel amps were good I think. Not sure on the Autoteks or MB Quarts either... I mean I am not sure if they make good 4 channel amps, haven't seen any models to go by...

a few guys got on here saying they had the pzi amps in their shops and had hella returns, the gp3000dpro is a beast, the rest of the line i havent seen too many people say the broke alot, just overrated, i guess its kinda like lanzar, the optis's kick ***, some of the other vibe amps are decent and put out power, most of the line is junk

I can't say too much, confidentiality thing, but in my OPINION (not fact), I think alot of the returns on the little pzi amps is not because of anything being wrong with the amps, just that the customers were not happy with them.... I don't know, could be totally wrong, I haven't seen anyone here mention them so not sure what other peoples feedback might be on them. I know they can be had for under $100 if you shop around. That's downright cheap...

same thing i wonder about Kicker amps, they put out power, but I see alot of refurbs EVERYWHERE. Im not sure if its quality or tards buy them at BB and try to run 2500w in their Honda with a cap and a 60amp alt.

You have to take into account the VOLUME of sales of those amps... big time volume. Same thing with the pzi's I am sure as "Crunch" is a popular brand with roots back to at least 1990 or so in the car audio biz, and since the little pzi's can be had for under $100 that makes them a high volume item likely...

I had 2 Crunch 12's back in the day, they were just black subs with a foam or kinda rubber surround, with white letters that said "The Crunch" on the dustcap... They banged just as good as the RF Punch and Kicker C series Subs.... Ah the good ole days... a friend of mine had an all black Crunch amp even... probably still has it and it probably still works... LOL.... I always wanted the Kenwood 1020 or 1021 back in the day.... Can't find one anywhere now, if I could I would buy it and repair it just to say I got it.... Only the "drug dealers" had the 1020's and 1021's back in the day... I was too poor, I only had the 821 and a 920... LOL I think I may have had a couple 720's 721's or was it 620's and 621's... tiny things, and I think a 9020 too....

"I always wanted the Kenwood 1020 or 1021 back in the day.... Can't find one anywhere now,"

Kenwood KAC-1023 was my very first amp I bought brand new, Ran 2 The Punch Pro 18" subs with it.

Very good amplifier I dont care what anyone say's about Kenwood those Amps were solid.

When Kenwood came out with those Excelon Motorized Face amps I bought those too, KAC-X401m and the KAC-X301t I still have them both. The X401m was murdered by my little brother I left it at my parents house he decided to try out car audio and well its no longer working right. play's for awhile then pop's fuses and he some how managed to lose the Terminal Screw's.

Someday I'll get it fixed those X amps were solid as well.

That's good to know, I liked the old Titans and Zues. Also good to know there is at least 1 authorized source online for HiFonics products.

I think they fairly shrunk (in all aspects, power too) the KAC-1023 from what it was before when it was the 1020, 1021....

Funny that I want one of those still, as I have:

HiFonics Generation I Collossus

Orion 2250SX "aka the Beast"

Orion HCCA 250

Need a RF Power Mosfet 1000, That KAC-1020 and KAC-1021 and probably a few others I am forgetting, OH, the OLD OLD Autotek BTU9600 or whatever, was like 3 feet long, classic.... to make my collection better....
