What brands of amps are decent with a good price? Im looking at probably 2 4 channels and a mono (800 watts at 1 ohm minimum). what brands should I be looking at and what should i stay away from

Brutus line is a good value, I am not sure about what Maxxsonics (makes HiFonics) has to offer these days for 4 channels... I think the Brutus are all Class D's.... If they make 4 channels in that line they must be decent because I haven't worked on any! LOL I have worked on a few "Titan" amps by Hifonics that were 4 channels, they are okay.

local shop=big money. all they wanna do is push the alpine PDX . Im on a budget here

im plenty happy with my hifonics bxi1206d - got it for $200 new.

probly puts out a solid 1K+ rms at 1 ohm.

runs nice and cool / vs / my kicker amp wich getts hot as heck.

only complaint - I diddnt get the 1600 one

as id like a little more power now.

Iv had no problems with Hifonics. I had a 1206D for a long time no problems whatsoever
