I can break these cuffs
Title says it all, I am looking for a driver that I will use with the stereo in my sig to augment the low end. I am looking at the Mach5 IXL-18, the new SI BM 12", Audio Pulse 10" or 12" or anything you suggest. I don;t care about size per se, but would prefer to be a 12" maybe 15", but if the 18" is the absolute best I will get that. I would also prefer sealed as it gives better SQ. Anyway, looking forward to your suggestions.

bose?

You have b&w speakers so you need a b&w sub or else who would buy them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:p:

B&W subs can be decent, but not great, plus they are overpriced as shit.

STFU fegg!

Anyway, if you like the SI subs then that would probably be a decent way for you to go.

Other wise Fi Q, Sound Splinter products, or something from the company formerly known as TC.

I know there is technically no best answer to the question, but I am looking purely for SQ, I know any of those subs will get loud enough to keep up with my towers.

Yea, someone on ROE recommended the Dayton Titanic as well. I guess the new BMs aren't going to be the best for home use. I may just dig up another old BM and use that.

If you really want the best SQ then do an IB sub with 2 15's/18's of your choice. I ran 4 Tempsts in an IB set up and the SQ was THE best I've ever heard and each sub was only getting 200watts.

Dayton makes an IB sub, as does AE, and I believe the Mach5 subs are fine for IB use as are several other popular online subs.

for music or movies? sub and amp? if just sub how much power do you have?
Just looking for a driver now, probably will ask for that for Christmas, will do the power and box next summer after I get done with school. It would be mainly for music, probably 90% or so, but movies will be thrown in.

Nope, no way to do IB, I'm still at my parents house and want to be able to take it with after I get done with school.

Well that sucks on the IB thing, but gotta keep the parents happy.

Have you looked into Epik subwoofers??? AA's spin off company and they have some nice subs for killer prices.

Otherwise I vote RL-P as mine sound good ported, so I'd imagine they're even better for music sealed.

I think I'm going to go with the 12" Rl-p, good price, good driver, good support and doesn't require too big of an enclosure. The question now is D2 or D4 coils. I want to use a 1000 watt plate amp, but if someone has a better suggestion let me know.
