Yup and thats not USB. Thats Alpines High speed connection for iPod. There is no USB expandability on the 9887.
i thought u meant you couldnt hook an ipod up at all my bad

How is the crossovers on the 117ri? Tempted by that as i can have USB connectivity and a standard aux connection if i wanted.
Should be exactly the same as the 9887. Not sure if you need the Imprint kit though with it. With the 9887 you dont need the Imprint kit to get the full crossover control, but on the 9886 you do.

Hmmmmmm it a tough one, is all the imprint technology already on the 9887? I might have to just buy a cheap shuffle and put up with itunes lol

I just read that the h100 does your crossover points for you, isn't that a bit stupid? Surely you must be able to set them yourself
i was looking at both myself and i went with the 9887 just b/c it has the active network built in

You can on the 9887 but the auto thing is nice since it.finds all the peaks.and what not in your vehicle with just some movement of the microphone
