good ground pounder subs

what are some good ground pounder subs? i have no plans in competing i just want something that have deep bass that can go low and sound good in the process... i have 8.3 cubes where the rear seats would be in my truck. i dont want to run no more than 5500 watts. Something that love low tuning would be great and my budget is $1200 max for just subs. the size of the subs really dont matter all that much. Im just trying to get different ideas on whats out there

The new Sundowns with the fat surrounds should pound the lows, Ascendant Audio Havocs/Mayhems, and DC's are low end beasts as well. I have an HDC3, which isn't known for lows, but it absolutely destroys too.

Yep and they are intense on the lows. Just no one EVER suggest AB on here is sundown sundown sundown all nut huggers I mean good products but I'm a little tired of the nut hugging sometimes you hear other things but rarely latly been hearing a lot of Tantric or whatever (never had personal experience) SOMETIMES DD or a couple other randoms but never AB which I personally think is by far one of the best bangs for buck.

I think you would be extremely happy with a set of DC xl(or higher) 15's or 18's on a beefy 3.5k amp or a similar sub/amp combo. Just make sure to get the enclosure specifically built for your preferences. By the way you are talking I just think larger cone area subs would be the best fit for you. Hope this helps!!

Definitely American Bass XFL or VFL. You can find XFL 12's online for $200-$300 a piece or @mylows10 ; is a vendor for American Bass.
