good frequency for both spl and sq?

It doesn't really exist.

But if you want something that sounds decent for daily and may have a little bump then tuning around 35hz (although this is very subjective), tends to work well.

A small amound of this equation is the Fs of your woofers, I have seen it recomended not to tune below the Fs of said woofer. What is really important for you to realize is that the sub unloads or is no longer being controlled as much by the enclosure below the tuning frequency. You get maybe half an octave below tunign before your woofer is essentially working in free air.

SPL & SQ? Most of the time if something does 2 or more things good it does neither great. So with that said, Mine is tuned to 43hz and is a pretty nice balance.
