Good amps in the $230-250 range?

I'm thinking of getting rid of the ZX1000.1 for another amp, thinking of a different look, and more features.

What are some good amps that can be had on our site for around $230-250?

It needs to be 1000rms or more, have a variable SSF, and a gain with input sensitivity numbers like .2v-5v instead of 1,2,3,4 like my ZX.

Edit: And it needs to be able to do 1000rms or more on 2 ohms or .5ohm

I know, it's just a preference of looks more than anything.

Do big three and get extra battery for kicker amp you have now? Maybe keeping voltage up and setting your gains with a DMM will give you the power you want, those kickers are ussually pretty underrated.

Ouch, that limits your options quite a bit. Most amps in that price range run at 1 ohm.
I know, it's not looking too bright for another amp lol. Atleast not at this point in time.

I have the big 3 done, no extra batt or upgraded alt though. I was thinking of trying to get a different amp with the same power, just on a lower voltage like 13.8 instead of the 14.4 my ZX needs constantly. When I do check the terminals during music it dips to 13.5-13.8 during normal volume (not full volume) but at full volume it dips to 12.9 on a real long deep note.

As of now I don't have blank cd's or an Ipod cord hookup for my h/u to use a test tone, and music is a little different than a constant tone, so I just do it by ear, but I'm afraid to turn it past a little under 1/4.
