good amplifiers?

i have 1 ascendant audio atlas, 15 inch sub. i believe its 4 ohms svc. looking for something to give it 300-500 rms.

ive been out of audio scene for a while and do not know what the good brands are anymore.

Best bet is to buy a 2ch amp n bridge it. N that kind of power is easy to find nowadays

Depending on budget as above, I would buy either MB quart or audiopipe on the low end as they usually do close to rated for absurdly low money but might fail within a few years. Or take the next step up and buy a sundown amp that will last forever and sound good doing it.

Not only $$$ Jacob products are the best. Any decent amp treated as it should be will last many many years.. Just cause Jacob personally drags his sack across ever item shipped item does not make them magic... Go to DBR and see how many sundown amps are being repaired so I guess they do fail..No offence Jacob but Sundown is not the end of all ends and I am sure you would agree with me..

I second Dragnix a nice 2 channel ($100-$125) used or new should be more the enough once bridged.

It was probably sold to dam pawn shop for $5. I cant wait to get the one atlas in a car setup, I only had the one in home audio setup before.

Well there is alot of amps on the market now. Most us made aren't cheap tho. Look at the Korean built amps usually better quality and high power. Decent pricing too. The cheap amps will be china made and not good at all in quality or sound

Get PPI Phantom P600.2. It does 600watts in bridged mode. These amplifiers are quite popular and provide the rated power. The form factor is tiny, and the price is $160 shipped. watts per dollar is probably the best mentioned here.

Another good buy is probably Boston Acoustics GT-2150. 400watts RMS in bridged mode. $129 shipped from Sonicelectronix.
