Good amp???

i seen what the guy clamed it did, probably clipped to ****. and if you set ur amp with the dd1 any voltage drop is gonna induce major clipping.
so a scope would do the same thing? you guys truly are retarted. now i know why when clamp numbers come about everyone gets pissy. because one amp beats their choice it has to be clipping or distorted. i will have people there to veryfi it along with video. see you nuthuggers tomorrw

i wanna see dd1 hooked up as ur clamping so i see no clipping.

Theres no doubt the ia is a good amp and all these are very similar but to each his own. I know those db drives do the power and clean and the nendos are proving themselves everyday. So u can go wrong with any of the amps listed. Personally I have stayed away from IA but that's just me I know a few people who have used them and had great success

As OP stated, He is not looking for the most watts per dollar, he is looking for the best, solid, and dependable amp he can buy in the price range. This would be the IA20.1 over anything else mentioned here. You guys a laughable debating a few watts difference...he is not seeking a .9 db gain vs another amp...and telling him not to buy the cleanest amp with the best S/N and Dampening factors just because is stupid...He cannot come anywhere close to the quality build of the 20.1 anywhere else for $450...All the arguing and bickering has done is prove the stability and dependability of the IA.

this! best post so far

looks like this is what suits me the best the IA

ia is a nice amp no doubt i have more experience with the pd and it is a monster no doubt have ran daily @.35 ohms. the pd2000.1 can put 3k and the ia almost that...

cant go wrong eather way...

Dont matter. If the voltage drops the amp will clip. More it stays low the more it clips. UNLESS you set the gains on battery power only and hold that voltage at the minimum
I don't think you get what I meant. I meant clamp the amp with the DD-1 hooked up. Run a test tone on your headunit and turn the gain up on your amp until the light comes on. That way you are compensating for any clipping caused by voltage drop.
