Good amp for my setup?

Heh heh, but look how pretty they are inside //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Thats ok. I personally like all the selections, but I would probably go with the Phoenix Gold, Autotek, or the Kicker if I had my choice. All are relatively close in power out put and price. The JL is a very nice amp, just a lot of $$ for the power, thats all.

ahem, refined yet again

Are any of these class D? I'd like to conserve energy as much as possible, especially since I have quite a bit of current devoted to interior and exterior neons

Ok, after much research, I have thrown out the Autotek.

I am going to go with either the Kicker or the Phoenix Gold amps...

Kicker KX1200.1

1200 @ 1 Ohm

Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1

1200Wx1 @ 4 Ohm

Now the question is, are these power figures RMS values, or peak values?

Cuz I think the Phoenix Gold amps and the Kicker Amps look better, IMO. Plus the Autotek probably is hard as hell to get ahold of...

Why? Is the Autotek better than the afore mentioned two????

Um, I just stumbled across another player.... Ultimate Sound Digitalis Amplifier (Class T)

It puts out 1300W RMS @ 1 ohm and claims 80% efficiency //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif And it's ONLY 500... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif What do ya think??

Autotek is awesome...but so is PG and Kicker. PG would be an awesome choice, and you could rest asured that you would not have to replace the thing anytime soon.

Yup, I agree. The PG Ti line is awesome. Better built than the others imo.

Yeah, thats what I meant...I cant afford the way high price for it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I would go with the harrison labs amp. You want efficiency 90%, they are not the nicest looking amp but you can choose differnt colors to try and make them look better. They are 1 ohm stable and you can get the AE1600.1 1600watts at 1 ohm for $700 from the bargin bin on their web site or the AE800.1 for $275. The thing is with the bargin bin the amps have been refurbished by harrison labs or has a cosmetic blemish which is taken care of by ordering a differnt colored one cause the case is changed
