good amp for my Kicker CVRs

what would a good recomended amp be for me to run these on?...the subs are 4 ohms...dont know to much about the ohm thing my dad said that its unsafe to have 4 ohm subs hooked up to a amp that isnt 4 ohms...so i was just wondering...price range up to 300 dollars
