Good amp for 5-6k with low current draw?

I guess i didnt explain myself good enough. I already have a 200A alternator because the biggest i could get. Im switching cars and i belive i can only get the 200 for this one too (91 mustang) i am running 2 yellow tops and i have the big 3 upgrade. I'll be running big 0 wire. I just wanted to get an idea. Im not sure if to run 2 9512 than i can get for cheap but theyre dual 1.5 so i need something that makes good power in the 1.5 ohms, or i can get the 2 fi btl at whatever impeadeance if i order them. But i need to have the amp first to know what impeadeance to order this. I appreciate all the imput though.

Hahahaha no you wont! i always wanted this car and i just bought it about 3 weeks ago. now its time to build the system. engine is good brand new 302 stamped to a 308. trickflow upper and lower intake, trickflow stage one cam, trickflow rockers and push rods, underdrive pulleys, msd ignition, 3.73 gears, trickflow aluminium twisted wedgeheads, bbk 70mm intake, 17inch cobra R rims blah blah blah.....

 
The kinetik 2400 is a better battery than the Batcap 2000 ...but at half the weight its the best bang for the buck you can get...I'm running a DD M3 with only upgrades Batcap 2000 in front and one in the rear...two 4 ga power runs...The M3 does 3000 true watts at 1ohm...I have no dimming or voltage issues and I play the system hard....

my friend is running on3 m3 also on a pair of 9512s on a stinger 2100. i told him he needs another amp to power them so he might just sell them to me at dealer price thats why i want the 5000 watt amp. maybe i can get dealer price on stinger batteries too:D

 
wow i didn't even read that it was in a 5.0... DUDE IM GETTING RID OF MY SUBS IN MY 5.0 ... MUSTANGS ARE NOT BOOM BOXES THEY ARE MUSCLE CARS... they weigh a lot and shit bro get with the program maybe 2-3k but 6k???

That's enough to comfortably run a 2,000-3,000 watt amp. You gotta remember, it takes power to make power.

Just get one decent 3,000 watt amp for the 95's and be done with it IMO.

exactly what i'm saying. you don't buy a mustang to weigh it down with subs, amps and batteries.

yea like that weight is going to make a huge *** difference. if theres too much weight, add more power. simple as that. although i will agree that 6kw is excessive, but thats not because its a mustang, but because i find it excessive anyways.

hell, if you got a newer gen mustang, that added weight to that squirley *** rear end might help...

 
hey well when i was on a crappy tune and street tires i ran a 10.98... i was able to squeeze 40 more rwtq out of it and 18 more rwhp so i think with some nice m/t's id be running at max mid 10's..

My dad has a supercharged blacked out 2007 california special mustang gt that puts out 465 rwhp and that thing is really mean but not like mine

 
but now that i put speakers, a deck, possibly another amp.. i may be up to the 11 mark again, which is fine because i have all other conveinences, ac, heat, now i have a nice loud stereo, life is good "rollin in my 5.0" and whoever knows what song that is from gets an online cookie

Well the general rule of thumb is for every hundred pounds of additional weight you lose 1/10th of a second in the 1/4 mile, so let's say the system weighed 500 pounds all in all, that's a half a second off the quarter times. That is a huge loss, and once you get up to around the 500rwhp mark it gets harder and harder make more power.

 
and not to hate on DD but why be like evry one else get some good stuff thats different you got a cool car make it cooler with some fat ice from somwhere other than DD which every dog and his grandmother has im not hatring i like them its just that DD isnt the only top end brand to make wicked power and also there are cheaper versions of product Not called DD that are just as good or better the amps i said above ther is also a set of 12" 15" 18" subs to go with them them they are nasty bad

GZ is cool mang it hits hard and is sexy as hell well biult and loud aswell as great SQ but have a look contact the us dealer and see wats wat
