good 6.5" woofers

Who makes some good 6.5inch woofers that are not deeper then 3"? I have the 7kv.2 but I am getting sick of dealing with spacers and that sort of thing to get them sealed tight and getting the covers back on. They are going in an 02 ***** am ws6 in the sail panel. It was stolen and crashed which is what makes it hard to get the woofers flush with a spacer, it is a little bent where the woofers go now.. I am willing to spend maybe $100 per woofer give or take a little bit..

You can check out CDT's M6 mid/sub bass driver. Mounting depth is 2 3/4". However, it is around $200 for a pair.

i have heard the jl's too, if they fit they get pretty damb boomy for such a small sub.

I think JL should be out with the new 6w3v2's here in a little bit. They promised mid august but I think they are shooting for the end of September. I don't have any idea what the mounting depth will be but less than 3" is pretty ambitious. I have 4 of them myself and I love them! The only reason I didnt mention them is because I think they are deeper than 3 inches.

I love the Earthquake shallow mount 6.5 subs...those things are awesome and take about 200 RMS easily...I've never seen such a tiny speaker move like they do....Some awesome excursion....

Keep an eye out on ebay for luccent IM6's from Illusion you can get a set VERY cheap and should be perfect for you.
