On what criteria? It is a very niche product and is misunderstood by many. Though it has a massive motor structure, it is not an SPL beast persay. it does get plenty loud, but not where and how you would expect. Sealed it is very powerful on the extreme low end. It shows it's real SQ characteristics in this alignment, though I do prefer it in a ported enclosure where it can get a bit higher in the sub frequency range, say more like 75ish, 80 smoothly. I had one ported and it was an incredible woofer. Not a lot of power is needed due to its (if I remember correctly) single spider which gives it great efficiency.
Loved mine ported but the weight of it was more than I, errr, my Mustang wanted to bare. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I ended up selling mine and the enclosure I built to a buddy and it is still going strong about 2 years later....
The 13Av.2 is just awesome at attacking the low lows. A lot of woofers are, but the SQ at which this does it is really neat to hear.
I'm sure you could find some one in Cali to give you a listen (if I'm thinking the right Sacramento!).
