Good 1 inch tweeters?

My clumsy *** went and crushed one of my D661 tweets. Smooshed the grill in, along with the cone. Doesn't sound hot, and runs like ***.

The other three speakers work fine, as do the crossovers. I just want to get tweeters to run off the existing crossover, since I don't have enough channels to go active. The power range is 100rms, and the tweets are 6ohm. So neither of those two can be really exceededa whole lot.

I can stand to listen to the single tweeter, but I want my sides to be balanced.

I really like the D661, and would like to keep them as long as possible. So a new component set it out of the question for now.

the best bet would be to order another d661 from th manufacturer because the passive crossover is made specifically for those speakers. On the other hand, if you were to go active, there are many choices out there, and mostlikely, you will be able to find better tweeters at a cheaper price.

Hmm, seems to be the general consensus. :/

I like the mids and mid-bass the 6.5 has, and I really liked the tweeters, felt like a total *** when I broke that tweeter.

Live and learn, right?
