Going sealed?

I have two 15" SSDs and a Kicker ZX1500.1...

I originally had room for a ported box, but with my air management, it'd be almost not worth it to squeeze them into a ported box.

I've never had a sealed box, never had any complaints about the sealed box. I listen to most hip hop/rap, and LOUD. Do you think the sealed box will disappoint? I'm shoot for a 140 db goal...

Don't do it. Once I took my 15" Q out of my 4cu ft @ 32hz and put it into my 2cu sealed box, I lost A LOT of output, and I know it depends on the application, but I am now going back to ported, because I miss the low end and output. The SQ is better though, a lot cleaner and more detailed.

it will be loud just not nearly as loud as ported,you can try to get jon to build the port into the consol to save some room or use pvc and put some elbow on them, so the ports are coming off the box and not built in.

How much room do you have to work with? I always prefer large sealed boxes for SQ purposes... currently running single 12" alpine type S in 3.cu.ft sealed box... love that rumble!
