AP enclosure material...

So I'm am designing my own AP enlcosure w/ scanspeak vents from partsexpress for my mid-bass woofer. What type of material would yield the best results? I will be using an XTC baffle with the vent attached to the back. Should I leave it as it or line the inside with some dampening material?

Some fiberglass insulation would be usefull inside, either rigid fiberglass insulation lining the walls or fluffy insulation filling the majority of the cavity.

You could use the XTC baffle as a form and fiberglass right onto it. Just make sure not to mix the glass too hot or you'll melt the foam.

Alternatively, if you're afraid of that happening, wrap the XTC baffles in tape and foil and use them as molds.

I'm using aperiodic for my midranges. Just stuff with polyfill and if budget permits get some closed-cell foam such as egg crate, or Raam Audio's ensolite. Night and day difference.
