Port your L7 if you haven't already...it will be REALLY close, if not louder than any of the setups you've mentioned in a proper box. L7's are loud subs, treat it right and you shouldn't need anymore IMHO.

it is ported ...and to the specs of kicker....it WAS loud but now i guess im just used to it and want something more...also it has a problem picking up notes that dont get LOW

If you're having problems with the low notes, I wouldn't go with the sx's then...my brother's sx lacks completely when you're hitting the really low notes.

What is your box tuned to? That can often be the problem in the sound you're getting...talk to polecat on here and have him reccomend something (he works for kicker).

I just hate to see you blow so much money when it's not going to make as big of a difference as you would like to see, and are expecting.

how would RE subs compare to ....Alpine type S subwoofers...i was offered a good deal on 4 brand new 12" woofers...with two 1000 watt amps....would these sound pretty good? What about compared to the RE line?

Well the type-s is like there second lowest sub. I would choose 2 SE's or 2 SX's over the alpines.

How much was the deal? what amps are those?

I'm only running one 12XXX and it is to much bass at times. I turn it down often. So I could only imagine what 2 SX's would sound like.

I would do 2 15SE's and a hifonics 1800bx.

RE makes much better subs than Alpine, and if you want to see a BIG difference over your current setup check out the RE MT

hows this

run 2 12 SX's off of 2 hifonics 1500's (since you have 1 already) and save yourself some cash

trust me, they will handle it

Another idea i was thinking of was 3 12" Se's...I would run 2 off of a Brutus 1500 at 1 ohm...and The other off a 1000 watt at 2 ohm. which woudl be 600 watts i think? correct me if im wrong. ALso i wanted to do 2 of the subs inverted? when u face subs invertedly do u have to change the box volume or what? I was told from someone at RE that all there subs will play inverted so im just wandering what u have to do to make that work...
