Going Re

RE makes much better subs than Alpine, and if you want to see a BIG difference over your current setup check out the RE MT
All I say is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

I have 2 Se 12's and I plan on running them off a Diamond Audio D5 1200.1

should I really worry about that extra 100 watts per sub that is going to be thrown at the SE's

I'm no pro bout I doubt your going to get much louder unless you want to upgrade to 2 15" SX(and upped ur power). Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think the 2 se's will be much louder, if louder at all. If you're looking for a wider range. I JUST got my XXX hooked up and am loving it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. It's a 15" in a 2cu sealed box with an RF bd1000(got the dual4). I don't know why other says the sub does not work sealed. Will prolly port it later but right now its more than enough. Kinda hard to compare to an alpine but I'd say it outdoes my 2 type r'sthat had 800 watts sealed. Never tried them in the same car though ( type rs in seville sls and xxx in bmw 325i w/ bifold seats). I think this sub ported with 1500 watts or a lil more would wang like a mofo. Lastly I would stay away from the type S if I were you. Just my opinion.. hear a couple different setups. Didnt sound too great(TO ME) and wasn't loud at all.

Well no matter what subs i choose to go with, Im still confused as to what all needs to be done to invert the subs. Do u build the box to the right volume and just face the sub so its shooting in or do u have to calculate a new volume or what?

I believe that you build the box with the right volume and you dont have to worry about th displacement of the sub... in addition to that you want to reverse your positive and negative connections to account for the sub being upside down...

Yeah i thought about that but i dont really like 15's as much as 12's. They just dont seem to pick up everythign and are sometimes distorted...Im thinking 2 12" Sx's and 2 1000bd Hifonics...any opinions would be helpful...also any other ideas as to other brand subs and amps...i like hifonics alot and i saw the new amps that are all black on ebay the other day but can find them now...any help?

Dont get the black ones. those are the titans not the brutus amps. Well it really seems like your mind is made up and those are very good choices.

Even though i said i wanted to try RE i am starting to get very frusturated with them. I have sent 2 emails and called a few times but still have not been able to get any information or to order subs. I really wanted to try 2 12" sx's but im thinking about just goin with 2 more 15" L7's. I had one and sold it and liked it...but i kinda wanted to try another setup...if anyone can give me some feedback as to whats up with Re or can name some other setups that would help. BTW...i want to do either 3 12's, 2 12's or 2 15's.

I would honestly try 2 12" sx's and two bx1500d's in a large ported or even bandpass box. I have 2 12" sx's in 10 cubes and it pounds plenty hard
I saw ur setup on cardomain....it looks ****in amazing....where did u get the plexi from? and do u have fans cooling the amps or no?
