4 12"s in a civic...

helping a buddy out here, only way we are goin to fit 4 12"s in his car is to seal them, now the big question is, should we face them all up? face 2 subs firing front and 2 subs firing back, or have 2 facing left rear well and 2 facing right rear well, we are tryin to find away to fire them with out canceling issues......

i aint no car audio god but i would recommend 4 you to put 2 in one box and the other 2 in another or one big box split in the middle and put 2 facing one side of the car and the other 2 facing the other side.Seems logical to me for the sound not to get canceled out.

Dont do what he just said above. Face them all against the trunk, and make sure to deaden it a lot. It rattles a lot.

problem, don't have room for all 4 of them to face the trunk, this might sound stupid but could we have 2 face the front, and then have another behind it facing the front?

You could fit 2 15"s. That wold be a better idea. Or build the box inside of the trunk. Thats what Im doing now.

iso is cool, 12's are a good choice.

if you don't need the floor of the trunk, build a box with all for subs facing up, tilted in all different directions.

What are your the dimensions of your trunk? do you have around 39" wide to work with????? you could build your box to look like this

with 2 subs on the front and then 1 on each end. Depending on how much room you have depends on the angle of the end peices. Just an idea!?!?!

yeah were playing with ideas we are thinking of making a sealed box and having a sub in each side, of course they would be sharing a chamber

I think you should have a rectangle shaped boxagainst the back of the seat, face 2 12's towards the back, and in between those have the box come out in a square with the other 2 12's facing pependicular to the first 2. I have a pic of my sub box for my truck that would give you an idea, but the file size is WAY too big.
