Going Re

I've decided i am goin to try Re. Right now i am running a 15" L7 and a 1500bd. The L7 just isnt loud enough anymore and doesnt pick up a lot of notes. I am just wondering what i should go with regarding Re. Originally i wanted to do 2 12" XXX but after i saw the prices i changed my mind. Ive considered 2 15" Se's or 2 12" Se's, or 1 SX 15 or XXX 15 i know thats alot of choices but i want what will sound the best but also get the loudest. They are all close to the same in price so that doesnt matter. Also ported or sealed doesnt matter either. ( i do want to do a lil 'glass and invert the sub/s tho) I just want advice and some opinions on which is the best for SQL ( i guess is what they call it)? Thanks

You should know ported = loudness:)
I would not go sealed on any of them. Why decrese your capable volume for a tiny *** bit of SQ???
Yeah ported is louder...but can distort some speakers imo

So 2 12" Sx's vs. 2 15" Se's??? 150 dollar price diff. is it worth it?

If you have no concerns with space get the SE's. They have some really decent SQ I hear also, will hit any note you throw at them, And be pretty loud. If your concerned about space the SX's will be a better choice.

Both are going to get insanelly loud, granted your install is good. Also the SE's would require less power thus saving your electical system.

If that is the fosgate 1500 watt amp then yes. You will need to order them in dual 2 ohm I belive. So you can wire the amp to 2ohms. They you will have to watch that gain cuz 700-800might be a little to much power for the SE's.

no its the hifonics 1500 my bad i said 1500bd...my fault....i think im just gonna do the 2 12" Sx's with 2 hifonics 1000 amps. It might take a lil longer to get them in due to money...but i think it will be worth it. Also the Sx's come in dual 2 ohm which would wire down to 1 ohm in parallel makin each amp give each speaker all its got. The Se's are dual 4ohm so...thanks for the help

Just want to warn you that 2 BX1000d's will have a lot of current draw. And you electrical system might not keep up.

But good choice on the SX's. They should make you happy with there ouput.

yeah my lights already dim from the 1500. I think i might just add 2 caps. I know they say caps are just 'bandaids" but for now i dont want to deal with a new alt. and extra battery.

Thats your choice. But I doubt the caps will do much to help, if anything at all.
