Kinda hard to compare to an alpine but I&#039;d say it outdoes my 2 type r&#039;sthat had 800 watts sealed. Never tried them in the same car though ( type rs in seville sls and xxx in bmw 325i w/ bifold seats). I think this sub ported with 1500 watts or a lil more would wang like a mofo.&nbsp; Lastly I would stay away from the type S if I were you.&nbsp; Just my opinion.. hear a couple different setups.&nbsp; Didnt sound too great(TO ME) and wasn&#039;t loud at all.</p></blockquote><p></p>
