Going bigger

Currently i have a 15" L5 powered by a 1700 watt kenwood amp in a ported box, it sounds very mean, was thinking of upgrading to 2 12" Type R's with a profile ap2000, will this set up sound louder??

i think it will be just because you will have 2 subs instead of one, and you can give 2 type r's a lot more power than 1 L5, and the SQ will be a lil better

Or would 2 12" l5s or 2 10" l7s be better, I need a better system, im selling my system and want to go a little more bigger.
