Going active: Replace HU or use a processor?

Go with the 9887. In my opinion, the CD7200 MKII looks ugly.
This may be teh dumbest thing ever said. By that logic Bose products should be the absolute best because they are the best looking. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I am torn between a 9887 and a DEH-800PRS for my Mustang.

Oh well, at least I have a Coustic XM6 I can use until I make up my GD mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm not saying thats my logic, its just who would want a head unit with the ugliest face. Plus its slow as hell. Try using the remote, lags 2-3 seconds before you can finally lower the volume.

with that logic y get a good hu with built in processor when your just gonna use an external processor later? granted you could always start out that way for simplification, but if you already have a hu just go with a processor. and btw the xm6 is a great unit i use to run the xm5e back in the days and i loved that xover.

What is that problem? I have heard a few mention it but never in depth.
The bluetooth connection dies prematurely and you are stuck not being able to do jack with the 3Sixty. Basically, you have a non-tunable paperweight once the bluetooth connection craps out.

That sucks, kinda dumb that you have to use Bluetooth to program it, using a USB cable would be faster and it would obviously be more reliable.
