going 3 way with mb quart qsd 216?

I already have a mb quart qsd 216 and i was wondering if I get the Qsc 164 add on mid-bass kit ,will this cause any issues since both drivers are going to be 6.5's? Im only asking this since typically people get the mbquart qsd210 and the qsd 164 or qsc 164 when they want to do a 3 way with this setup

thank you for the input, i was just worried since the qsd 210 is a 4 inch set and the 216's are 6.5 that it would be akward to have to 6.5 drivers instead of a 4 inch and a 6.5 inch

Just run a set for midbass and the other for midrange.

The midrange and midbass drivers being the same size will make no difference. What makes the difference is the frequencies that are being fed to them. Are you running this passive or active??

im going to be running them passive.

I guess it all depends on what the factory set X-over points are on the passive crossovers. With a little active processing you should be able low pass the existing comp set a little higher and then you're not over lapping the the top end of the midrange and the bottom end of the midbass.
