GM side post battery terminals

I've been looking at these and I can't figure out how they work exactly. I'm sure it's simple but I don't get it. Can someone explain to me how they're used with the OEM wiring? I'd appreciate it.

Depends on which ones you're looking at. Normall they are just posts that screw into the battery which you can attach ring terminals to by unscrewing the pot piece. Hard to explain, but painfully easy to use.
