GM exiting bankruptcy

The top ten best-selling vehicles of 2008 were:

1. Ford F-Series

2. Chevrolet Silverado

3. Toyota Camry

4. Honda Accord

5. Toyota Corolla

6. Honda Civic

7. Nissan Altima

8. Chevrolet Impala

9. Dodge Ram

10. Honda CR-V

Trucks are selling? Based on what? All the reports i've seen are of plummeting truck sales unless you can show me different. The fusion is not a truck, it's a car, and it's a hybrid, which is what consumers are leaning towards now. And you're naming one car that is decent, but what about all the other cars? And once again, the CTS is not a truck.
You're all over the place. You say they don't make cars anybody wants, and I addressed that issue by saying they do. The Fusion isn't just a hybrid, the actual Fusion sells very well too. The top 3 affordable midsize cars are American, and 5 of the top 10.

The companies have reduced the amount of trucks they produced and focused on cars, but people still buy trucks. Ford sold 35000 F-150's in June. Every vehicle is going to be down in sales this year from every manufacture. Ford old 38000 in June 2008

The F series has been the best selling vehicle for over 30 years

Most of those trucks are probably bottom end work trucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif They don't cost very much, and they get incentives to buy them.

Their mostly commercial trucks. Even so, it doesn't make sense to quit producing your best selling vehicle.

I worked at the GM tech center last year and had the opportunity to talk with some of GM's designers. What they told me is this Volt is going to be a failure. The technology costs so much, that the MSRP is going to be over 40k for a small car and it will cost the consumer more money to own a Volt than GM's 4 cylinder Malibu because the amount extra you'll pay in your electric bill, will outweigh your savings in gas.

Mercury hasn't been the lower model than Ford. It has been Ford as the entry, than Mercury as the middle class and Lincoln as the luxury division.

I bought a brand new truck. A brand new Ford Ranger. I actually bought it out from another guy...so I know they sold 2.
