Im not too sure if this would actually be considered glassing my door panel but here is what im looking to do as well as some pics.
I have a 99 f150 that takes 6x8's all around and the "door pannel grills" for the speakers are big enough for a 6.5" midbass speaker but slotted (pic below).
Should there be any sort of way to glass the grill to where it is solid, while making it look nice and mount a 6.5" midbass speaker such as in the picture below the red circle would be the speaker.
Or could I maybe cut/route a piece of MDF to the shape of the grill with mounting hole for the speaker. Mount the MDF behind the grill, cut the size hole needed for the midbass speaker in the grill and mount it that way?
