Giving up on RE SE 12's. Suggestions?

yea...they are made to go 1 ohm stabel the only reason it would have shut off at 4 ohm is because you have too low voltage going to it or your gains were cranked way too high... that or your amp is in an area of 140+ degrees

Well being in the Dallas area, im sure it gets around 140 in my trunk

Ok guys, think I am gonna go with a single 15 RE SX from Blados if he will reply to me... Do you all think I will be dissapointed? I had a single MTX Thunder 8500 12 inch sub running at 600 rms.. Do you all think this will be a night and day improvement?

If anyone else has an SX 15 hit me up

Is that the SX15 returned to Blados from another forum member here (forgot who) recently after the issue of it possibly being blown?

Oh yeah, the Rated power on the 15 SX is only 1000 rms... If I wire my JBL to 1 ohm, it puts out roughly 1400 watts... is that going to kill the sub?

You can adjust your gains down if it overpowers the sub.

Yeah I know I can do that... Ill probably do that anyway since I dont like to run amps at 1 ohm. I dont care if they are stable at 1 ohm or not. I want to keep my amp alive for more than a year

SX if they are close to the same price. The SX replaced the HC, its a newer better sub (HC's are still very nice).
