Give me your thoughts on this

Ok so a freind of mine wants to put marine speakers under his truck. However he doesnt want to run another amp for them because he already has 2 amps. He came to me with the question can I hook them up to my HU and have a switch for them? I have wondered this before he even asked but these are my thoughts:

Would you need a seperate switch for each speaker?

Would you be able to put both front speakers on one switch and the rears on another?

or another freind of mine claims he hooked up all four to one switch in some guys car...that seems to me like it would get rid of individual channels and make all the speakers play exactly the same...

Flame suit on if needed but I ask for educated answers...if possible...

no he doesnt need separate switches, but he will need a correct switch for all the speakers otherwise stuff could get messed up.

if you wanted to, fronts could be on a switch, rears could be on another switch

but why the f*ck would he want speakers under his truck? to try to be all cool and let everyone else hear his music, with chances being that 80% of the people around him dont like the same type of music he does?

haha idk but a good bit of people around my home town like to have speakers under their vehicles....mostly dunks though. However I AM NOT the one who wants to put them under my truck. I have been thinking about putting some in the bed of my truck for tailgaiting purposes which is why Ive thought about it.

Anyway, he said he would like the fronts on one and rears on another. What type of switch will I need?

I personally hate speakers outside of vehicles because the only ones Ive heard just sound like stupid loud mids with no highs. Sounds all muddy and shit but hey he wants to pay me to hook them up so Ill do it for the money!

any two switches that each have two separate "channels", if you will. So, pretty much one switch controlling something more then one switch COULD control.
