Give me some high sound quality options

zed leviathon or dc175.4
I was going to do a 175.4 but they are out of stock till April. It would match the 5K better. The ZED is D and I dont think I like that

linear power gets my vote
They are not even on the market yet. They might ****. Prob not but we dont know yet

Boston Acoustics GT-2125 or GT-2200 or Aura RPM 2300
Those would be my top choices and they will keep up with any other amp u can buy SQ wise and power wise and they're cheaper. I've run both and the Boston simply is hard to beat, period! Not even "for the price".

As long as you get an amp that does its rated at low THD or an amp with more power than needed for extra headroom (or both) the amp part will be fine. The speakers and processing will play the biggest part. That doesn't mean I agree with the whole "Boss amp will keep up with a McIntosh BS" though. But the Aura or Boston will both do fine.

Then, you've got the JL slash series amps or HD....There's a guy local to me who sells Arc Equipment in his shop and I told him I was thinking of swapping my BA for an Arc and he said I'd be a fool to do so and it would be a complete waste of money and that the BA is probably even a better amp....
Dont want D. I will look into the Aura

On an equal playing field a Boss amp WILL keep up with a McIntosh. It's been proven time and time again. Until clipping or processing is introuduced, thousands of people have been unable to tell the difference between the cheapest watt available and the most expensive watt available. You can't aruge with that. If your ear can tell the difference, you can make a quick 10k and buy every high dollar amp for your car you want to buy... but people with home audio systems that run into 6 and sometimes 7 figures can't tell the difference. I'd put my money on you not being able to as well.

I was looking at the Diamond. Im not feeling soundstream just yet. I know they are trying to get good again. I use mostly Ipod media, Im already chopping the singal once, Im not doing it again. So NO class D

How many more times do you need to state your OPINION? We get it. Move on.

None of those options are high level sound quality to begin with. In your budget, you aren't going to land the top amps unless you go used. I am not sure what you have against used but if I had the choice, I would take top shelf "used" sound over mediocre "new" sound.

i was going to offer up my dc 175.4 but i seen you dont want used .buy mines only 5 months old too

Quite frankly, good sir, I dont give a flying fuck. I still wont drop a dime on that Boss amp regardless of who said its the same Richard Clark, Batman, Tupac, whoever!
