orion 2500d amp

0 gauge wire

He just wants to go death and be able to go over 150... i told him id make him a 7.8cuft @ 36hz... hes already running an 2500d at .5 to both his L7's giving them each roughly around 1200w... no need to have such a huge box... he wanted to tune to 45's but i told him i didnt want him farting in the streets

Why would he fart? farting sound is from shitty port construction not tuning. Tunning to 45hz will make the sound peaky and miss alot of notes but it wont sound farty.

if you were to read back a few messages you would see that he did say 40 hz. A tune from 35 - 40 is ideal for daily driving. These guys aren't lying to you man. Unfortunatley, daily's and compete's are constructed different.... This has been explained already so I'm not going to re-explain it. But Chinny seems to know what he's doin, and we all have his back to help out. Moral of the story > figure out what you want and start listening to someone.

I know what I want, I told Chinny since you guys recommend 40hz being the highest for us to use for a daily driver to lets do 40hz instead of 35 but he said that I shouldn't do that. Thats why I reposted asking if 40hz is ok because for whatever reason he doesn't want to do 40hz. I dont mind loosing SQ. Like I told him I want more SPL than SQ but im also going to be using this as a daily driver, also.

Is it true that I don't need a box bigger than 7.8 cubic ft since the subwoofers are already going to be taking about 1200rms each from the orion amp? Would it help if I made the box bigger, maybe 9 cubic ft?

have it built with a port plug so u can change the frequency for daily and comps....like 35Hz for daily and 55Hz for comps......again those are just general #'s...someone with experience with ur car andf those subs will give u a better idea of what exactly to tune to
