Found a local shop today, its pretty small but its cheap. Going to cost $115 for 5% on the back and on my 2 side (single cab truck). Since its illigal for limo on the side windows i have to pay cash for it. I also may get 5% strip on the windshild for $20, is it worth it? Think Ill get caught with the illigal tints? cops arent douche bags around here

will probly be really noticable on a white truck. if it was black it would blend but white on black will be very noticable that its darker. and besides, 20% is legal not 35. i used to live next to a cop and my cousin in law is also a dallas cop

unless you have a slider in the back window its a little pricey. what type of film are they using (brand)? 115 it should include the front strip. what kind or truck do you have and year?

hmm youre right about the the white on black being noticeable, but I roll with my windows down alot of the time makes my system lots louder. Not sure about the eyebrow though, doesnt seem like it'd do much

-btw talked to don may work out

I thought $115 was a good price, my bro got his done for $180 (with brow) 20% on side and 5% on back and we both have the same truck. I dont think it comes with the eyebrow at this shop

20% is NOT legal in any state. period.

lol nah paid him in cash moniesss

i hope this tint job isnt using shitting tint, but whatever im prob getting a new car next yr

no worries. i've realized that most people on here that post like you did know nothing about tinting. in order for him to get near a 25% reading on a light meter he would have to use a 35% film because the glass although it looks clear does have some color to it, but it's not tint. that is from the tempering process, it sorta "burns" in a color from being heated and cooled many times during manufacturing. 20% film on there would read around 15% making him illegal. 35% will bring it down to around 28% on a meter making him legal.

i've been tinting professionally for 19+ years
