Getting the ball rolling......(install)

Hooray, I am glad the sub fit. That would have sucked if it didn't.

Looks pretty **** good if I do say so myself.

How does it sound?

Sounds very good. I have never heard an IDMAX, I just went with the IDMAX based on user opinions and the low fs. I needed a sub that could play the lows with authority, and so far I am very impressed. I haven't feed it full power yet since it's still breaking in, but once it is, I am pretty sure it will just get better.

Ya, i love the imprint technology. It pretty much does what professionals would do to a theatre. Adjusts all the equalizer settings exactly for your cars environment. The difference is day and night on how much better it made my car sound.

IMO, the imprint sucks for the car. It's even worse that you can't make any changes after it auto-tunes.

It might be better to be used in the house than the car. It's just good for those that like to be told what sounds good and those that can't tune worth shit for themselves (that would be whole lot of people, so kudos to Alpine)

The imprint does a decent job on tunning. Remember everyone is not competing in SQ events. Like myself, I am not, I just want good sound, better than OEM and this does the job.

Yeah, I know manual tunning will provide better results, but everyone doesn't have the knowledge or tools to do so. But I do agree, I hate the fact you can't edit any tunning the software does.

Remember, just because you don't compete, doesn't mean you shouldn't have competition worthy sound.
