Getting out of the V8 family.

thats what i was hearing. if its 6.0 i'm assuming it has a smaller bore for streingth
Yea, there were rumors that it was going to get the Corvette SS motor S/C LS9, but that is blown and gone in the wind now.

The 6.0L on the V is going to have a integrated S/C right in the mainfold. GM's got some crazy shit up there sleeves.

If GM wanted to they could spank the piss out of toyota. They have a triple digit per gallon car that is a prototype. Chevy Volt.

 
if it was ME and MY money i'd snatch up one of the new Chrysler's that they had to sell as used due to the inventory shift for the new model year and also snatch up the lifetime powertrain warranty that they have going on. you can probably get an awd 300c loaded for under 30k

The Monte won't break the bank @ $27K new or $22K used. I have already been seeing numbers of aftermarket parts getting it close to 400hp. Visit mymonte.com for more info on that, if you'd like. As a service tech, u should have access to the power tech programmers.................

I got em right here:naughty: . All I need is to borrow a Tech 2 and do a simple remote setup, probably have to call TAC to get a VCI. TIS2WEB is on my comp.

 
Any $$$'s on the Volt as of yet? I have been waiting for a hybrid/sports sedan to hit the market that was actually appealing to everyone. I can't stand many of the hybrid cars out now aside from the Camry hybrid. Most of them are just outright UGLY.

Not that I know of. All I know is that its a prototype.

 
Eugenics, I was reading the wrong Techlink article about the V.

6.2L LS9 S/C (Blue Devil) Motor. 600HP, While the Corvette SS will have the same motor only tuned producing 700hp.

The 6.0L S/C was their first move, along with the 7.0L LS7.

The 09 v is faster than a N/A LS7 Z06.

The V is going to be nasty.

MB sold a majority of it to Cerebirus (i forget the spelling, its the three headed dog company) but retained about 30% iirc. Chrysler will also still have access to the MB parts bin.

Ah that was the name, so many people are happy about it. Chrysler's funds will stay in America and not go to Germany.

 
I would like to chime in and state yes the cobalt ss is fast with stage upgrades(and btw you can buy seperate all of the stage 2 stuff and be cheaper than the stage 2, or last i knew) but the cobalt over all is having tons of troubles last i knew. With clutches going out early(off stockers even) to many other things just going and theres been a couple full out lemon cases on the cars. This being said there new years may be more reliable

why do you think a toyota or honda product will have a significantly higher resale value??? because they weather time much better then there American counterparts.

Now dont get me wrong I like american cars (look at my screen name!) but unless you are looking at a ls series motor car or a diesel they cant hold there own to a toyota/honda

compare a sierra 1/2 ton to the new tundra... your a wrench right? look at the specs, look at the problems per mile driven! look at the resale diff! the car and driver reports! etc etc.

same thing between the camery and whatever gm has to compare to that

if you like the American cars then cool, but dont try to say they are better, there is a reason GM lost it's position to toyota and it's not due to how kick azz of a car GM makes (diesel trucks and vetts aside).

You also said that gm could beat toyota if they wanted to..LOL! dude, pick up a business week or entrepreneur

mag and learn some business facts, I mean you think they are bleeding themselves for the chits and giggles of it, the american car co. are HURTHING with a capital H, if they could remedy the situation they would have!...a while ago.
