Getting out of the audio game??

Just wondering what everyone thinks about getting out of audio. Right now I have 2 12 inch alpine type r's in a box I built. I just sold my hifonics 1500 amp for 200 bucks which I bought for 140 and I have a chance to sell both my subs for 300? Should I just jump on this then drop down to 1 sub and mod my probe or what. I kind of need the money but not really just wondering what everyone thinks on here.

Yea. I did that last time. I went from audiobahns to type R's now i think its happening again. But I must say I am happy with the Type R's and any louder is going to kill me.

dont mod a probe, if your gonna keep the same car, upgrade the tunes. dont go for speed, go for sound

i dont see how... i like to be able to hear high's mid's and low notes not just shitty stock speakers, man i dont see how you could leave the audio game. I can kinda understand not throwing $1000+ on bass, but speakers are a must

yeah, i was an sq guy too, that's the funny part. oh well. i could care less about cars anymore and given what i do now, i spend very little time in my car to justify spending money on the stereo anyway. i'm sure when i buy a new ride ill add some things to it here and there, but until then...meeh

Believe me, the payback from a nice audio system is far better than a modded car. Sure modding the car may make it fun to drive, but the gains are minimal unless you go the forced induction route. As for suspension, a good set of sway bars would make for more predictable handling, but stay away from springs unless you don't mind losing comfort. A nice set of wheels would be all that is needed to bring attention to the vehicle. A tune-up will give it the same power gains that many N/A mods will do. In short, don't waste your time modding.

I wouldn't bother doing any mods to a Probe (no offense)... That's like me puttin' a Flowmaster on my Taurus.

Sell the 2 Type-R's for a profit and buy two more.
