Yes my Truck needs a new battery, My system will be installed soon, and I wanted to get a new battery before its all in. Anyone have any suggestions on which battery to get or which brand to go with? I deff dont to get a good battery so im willing to throw some $ into it. plz post some suggestions my amp is in my sig.

yellow tops are not a good starter battery.

had experience with both and red top is the best for a replacement for the main battery

did you have any problems with the yellow top cuz im thinkin about getting one to replace my main batt, and since it is a deep cycle car audio batt i figured it would be better then getting a red top

it likes to go dead more often then a red top. If you were using it to put a second batt in the trunk i would say go yellow. But since you are using it for under the hood go red. I think the red holds a much better charge and alot better for cold starting.

It's better for cold starting, you're right...but I'm curious as to why you said it goes dead quicker. By design, it would make sense the other way around, and my experience has borne that out.

i don't know it just seems like it just did not hold a charge as well. My battery would run dead quicker when it was a yellow. THe red just seemed like a better all purpose battery. I don't know, it is hard to explain. Seemed like the yellow i was constantly putting the charger on my car overnight.
