Just because you get a smart phone doesn't mean you have to get the Data plan. I have a smart phone and a regular plan of just text and minutes. I still use internet, not getting the data plan will require you to use your minutes as dial up connection vs the 3G connection, or in AT&Ts case the slower than cancer EDGE connection most likely depending on where you are. If you don't get the data plan it's like using dial up rather than broadband. 3G is always on and faster than dial up, but dial up doesn't require the extra plan.30 bucks
its a smartphone plan
stay away from smartphones unless you need it....
my phone can do most of what a smartphone can do without the extra plan
how much you pay now? if you dont mind my askingI have a iPhone. Had one for about 2 years now. A 1st gen and now 3G. Even though I think all carriers are a**holes who **** consumers on price nothing compares to the iPhone on AT&T. When the plan becomes 75 bucks a month or less than I'll truely be happy.
Lol I switched from a HTC with windows mobile 5 to mine huge difference, and I'm on my iPhone now lol. However OP go to cnet.com browse the cell phone section and look at the reviews and such. Their are alot of great smart phones now you can unlock and bring over if you choose. HTC with WM 7 (which my sister has and I love it, alot my flexiabilty as an os than the iPhone), the droid, and a tight *** new Sony Ericson coming out next year.I just got the iPhone and hands down the best phone for the money out there. It's 100 bucks for the 8 gig and 30 bucks amonth for the data plan . I had a blackberry and switched best switch I have made. I am on it now typeing this lol
