Getting new amps which ones

I am looking at new amps to power my system as of now I have the following speakers,all are Focal K series. 2- KX 33 1-set K2P3 , 2-sets K2P , 1-set100 KP Total of 10 channels. I run them with Audison LRX amps 2- 1.4 , 1- 2.500 1- 4.300 and 1- 2.150. These I find are under powered over heat and shut down. I want to pick new amps from the following. Steg K series or Audison VRX series or Macrom M1 series. Price is not an object but must be from one of these three. Give me your opinions of all or any. I have only heard the VRX on a sound board. I may also go Macrom speakers or some Utopia BE

Those are some esoteric (read: over the top expensive) brands you've decided on.

Im afraid you might have quite the wait on this board if you're hoping to hear back from past users about their performance for your application.

I have a show car and am looking to change system up some and am working on some new deals with local suppliers. The car was in Dec. Car Audio and Electronics and Performance and Auto Sound annual buyers guide.

I'd stay away from Audison. A friend and I both had the LRx series, and they were very overrated as well. If their lower line does this, I wouldn't even consider spending the money for their higher line.

He was originally going to gowith the Focal amps, but since decided on the STEG K amplifiers. Funny how he was debating between the same amplifiers as you lol. I'm sure you would be happy with either brand.

The Audison vrx is a differnt beast the the lrx but cost 3 times as much.The focal and Steg are both distibuted by Orca so most are carried by same audio store. I am leaning towards the Steg.As they have more power and choises than the Focal and take up less space I need 5 amps!

Greetings, I am the guy that Detroit Bass is referring to. I originally went with STEG, but when it came down to purchasing, something told me to go with Focal..maybe it was Nick at Orca..either way...STEG Competition K series is one ballsy amp and you have alot of options with them. The have a built in computer program that can be put on a laptop so you can tune your amps right there in your driver's seat via an RJ-45 or USB connection. I can't remember which. The STEG's are excellent and I know you won't be dissatisfied. They are more like the VRX line from Audison...but with much better tweakiness (new word).
