Getting my dad some new audio equipment...

I can't really spend a lot of money on it because money is tight right now. He blew all of his speakers in his 1998 Ram awhile back and never mentioned it to me until I drove it today.

Any cheap yet decent amp/coax or comp suggestions? The truck fits a 5.25" set upfront, and I really don't feel like glassing in anything bigger.

i may do this for my mom actually. i have just been looking at some powerbass s series coax's. they are cheap, a step up from stock 2000 galant speakers plus she wouldnt know the difference between those and say my id comps so no point in spending a lot on them

what are the specs on the truck..

pretty sure they do not have a 5.25 inch round speaker in there

they come factory with a 6x9 ..

which if your taking the door apart anyway its wroth it just to build or buy a 6x9 -6.5 conversion bracket.. takes 10 minutes to make..

try some of the newer type S coaxials...definitely not too bad for the money. check out ebay for some cheap prices.
