getting louder with windows up

i didnt say it would change the difference between windows up and down but it will make it louder either way, no? or did i get some magic deadener that adds deebees?
this the second time in 2 days someones started talkin shit when i recommend deadener. is a quieter, more solid car, and a stereo thats louder inside and quieter outside not a good thing? whats the crack?
I think its time you change your tampon and take another dose of midol, dood.

um... alright.

you aren't going to change the difference between windows up and down. thats just the way almost all cars work. about all you can do is get louder so it might be loud enough for you with them up. i said what i thought might help you out and make you sound better at the same time while lowering road noise, but apparently i'm the only one who feels that way.

i didnt notice anyone else offering any advice to OP?

You just keep contradicting urself... deadener doesnt make you louder. It reduces panel flexing which makes it more pleasing to our ears, more pleasing to outside ppl, and in some cases it can increase spl... But your subs are producing the same pressures every time it goes in and out and the only thing you can change is the setup itself. go and off yourself plz.

Louder to the ear and louder on the mic are 2 different things though. For instance, a local shop had a w6 in one of their demo vehicles and it sounded loud as hell. I forgot what it mic'd at. They replaced it with a w7, and the w7 mic'ed 2.8db louder than the w6, but didnt SOUND as loud.

how did i contradict myself? you quoted where i said it wont change the difference between windows up and down? did i someplace say that it would?

you can say it doesn't make you louder until you're blue in the face, but every single install i have ever heard before and after deadening, including 3 of my own got louder to the ear and on the mic (i'm assuming that with my explorer, haven't gotten it metered yet) and sounded cleaner doing it.

it wasn't as much condradicting as it was second guess and trying to change the intent of your original statement.

anyway fellows. i can be in my truck with the windows up i have an extra cab and i pulled the back bench seat for my box. im running a 2.3 cubic foot box sealed with two twelves. i can't take the pressure. it sounds terrible too. no sound deadener and the steel resoanates insanely. i think that is the harder part to listen too.

so yeah i need to sound deaden. lol this isn't going anywhere. and my setup is lame till i get more money anyway lol

my original statement was just 2 words, sound deadener. the "intent" of this statement was to help you out, since the only other way you're going to get louder with the windows up is by adding power, more or different woofers, etc. after being told that was wrong and would not make you louder with the windows up, this was my statement.

i didnt say it would change the difference between windows up and down but it will make it louder either way, no?

am i missing something here?
