Getting high pas thru sub

So i met up with this guy who contacted me thru craigslist to buy an alpine type r i have. and when he connected my sub to his amp is was hearing music thru its not just bass. and i told him if he had everything on low pass and what not and he said yes. so tomorrow im going to meet up with him again and see if that can be fixed.

i kind of think it could be that he has his rcas connected to a front preamp not a sub preamp output on his deck.

Anyone know what else it could be?

he lied and doesn't have it on LPF. that is if the amp has that option. dude's a ******* probably.

Thats what i told him. But he kept saying no he had it all right. But when i connected the sub in my car i got no high pass. so should i check how he has his rcas connected and to where or if he has the amp on low pass?

Check his amp settings and set them right...
