if they didn't know there was a wireless router then I doubt they know what traffic was going through their network. I wouldn't worry.

I think your taking this too far, if they do ask ffor your laptop just say it was your sisters and you was just troubleshooting some stuff on it. Thats it period. I honestly doubt they will go to the extend of tracking every little thing you did on the internet. But like your job my boss at my work is firing and starting to make changes to save money. Its the economoy ;\ But I wouldn't worry about no legal actions of any sort to be honest.

They don't have to have anything written down and you don't have to sign shit to be fired for something.

If the boss has a hardon for people using the internet on his dime he can fire you.

The router *could* be setup to log everything but it's very unlikely.. What is likely is it saves connections to the router for 1 - 3 days.. Which will just tell them the MAC address of the computers that connected to it and when..

Do you have a login you use on your work pc? Depending on how that is setup they can watch everything you've done on their network on your work pc..

IT guys are always lazy slackers.. I bet this guy didn't do anything right..

I could have a job tomorrow though if that happened. Either go back to working for my dad or my friend which has offered me a assistant managers spot at save-a-lot, which is a food market place, but he would pay me almost the same as I get now, which is decent money. Pays off to have friends and family.......sometimes, lol!

I dont feel like reading the whole thread after the first page, but to be honest they probably are thinking it is a security breach and your laptop could cause suspicion that you are transferring company files and info.
