Getting Crapppppy bass, any suggestions?

Hey everyone, i have a 2000 Lexus RX300 SUV and im using the stock deck.

I have a high/low converter that is wired like so

The black and red lines that run off are positive and negative that are spliced into one of my rear speakers, and G is the optional ground (The positive and negative of the left side is looped into the right side, this was done by an audio installation professional).

I have 2 12" subs in this exact box:

The 2 subs are Alpine 12" SWE-1243

250 rms

700 peak

and the amp is Alpine MRP-M500

Per channel into 2 ohms: 500W x 1 RMS

The 2 subs are connected in parallel to make them output at 2 ohms (if thats what connecting them in parallel does when they are 4 ohms)

with this whole setup, my system barely bumps, like nothing rattles, its just soft bass and its not too loud at all. My friend has a VW jetta with the stock deck and the same high/low converter and my amp and subs are both twice as powerful and his system pounds compared to mine.

I am very dissappointed with the output, any suggestions to make this system rlly pound?

The box is shiitty. Build a new one

Or you could try flipping the phase on the amp to 180 degrees. Maybe your subs are wired backwards.

a bunch of ppl tried to change the settings on the amps and tried to put the gain up all the way and it still doesnt pound.

wat do u mean by wiring subs backwards?

something gotta be wronge wit the converter. I would get a after market cd player

one of the subs is probably wired backwards so the bass gets cancelled out

i know the wiring on the subs is correct, and i cant get an aftermarket deck or cd, cuz there is no where to put one without losing all my other controls

this is my stock deck

its hard to change

From the looks of the Metra website. it looks like you have a factory high amp, is that right?

I just looked it up a half hour before I posted that, it has your wiring harness
