Getting CD out of a removed HU?

remote and pos to pos and neg to neg and then if it has a power button press it and it should come on if not idk
hmmm, i didnt try the power button. I hit the eject CD button though, and when in the car, it would turn on when eject button was hit.

any other ideas? maybe someting special with the pioneer premier 780s?

Then again, i just touched the wires to the bolts on the battery, will that be enough juice or wil i need a secure connection?

use a old computer power supply. hook the batt (red) acc (yellow) to the yellow wire on a molex connector (12v) and hook the neg (black) to the 12v ground on the molex, right next to the yellow. then put a jumper between the green wire and ground right next to it on the ATX plug. PM me if you need pics of it to show you exactly what to do.

You may need to touch the ignition wire with the positive
****it! i looked at the ignition wire and questioned myself, but i didnt wanna risk anything that may damage the unit lol.

meh, no biggie. Im selling the unit, so maybe whoever gets it will get my girlfriends CD.

tie the red and yellow wire together touch to the positive terminal then ground to negative, it might spark but that is no big deal. If it doesnt power up there is something wrong with your cd player

did this. and i know for a fact nothing is wrong with the CD player, i used it the day i took it out, and both batteries were literally out of my truck when i unwired it heh.

ill try the ignition wire tomorrow

normally you have to put the red and yellow wires to pos. and black wire to neg. press power (or source), then eject...
yeah, red is the switched power wire that turns your h/u on when the ignition turns on and yellow is the 12volt power wire, both of these need to connect to the battery pos
