1. going to buy a kiCker s12l7 06 tomorrow, need a new amp (stupid me sold my last one)

2. heres the deal, i only got enough money for 1 s12l7 for now. after i save up enough ill get another s12l7

3. what amp should i get (750/325 rms)? should i now just buy a 1500rms amp or buy a cheap one, get the 2nd s12l7 n buy another cheap amp

or plan B

same idea but a 15", get 1 s15l7 750rms amp for a while until i get enough money for the 2nd 15"

worries-

-if i got the 15" it would be stright for quite a while until i save enough for the 2nd

-if i got the single 12" it wouldnt be as badass as the 15" and i have to rush for my 2nd 12"

so it all goes down to 2 12" or 2 15" (spl all the way), im not that big of a freak for highly rms, about 600 rms will fit me just right. put me in your shoes what would u get? 2 12" or 2 15" for a 600rms system

ive seen this situation TOO many times.....ur gonna end up WASTING money if u do it in two steps....that means ur buying 2 enclosures, 1 of which is gettin wasted......save up untill u have enough to get BOTH....by then u might change ur mind, or maybe find a good deal....u never know...

go all out or go home....car audio isnt a place that you should comprimise...

summery: just wait

i feel you bro, all my friends tell me the same thing but for real my heart is dieing slowly without a system in my ride

what would u get for 600rms SPL 2 12 or 15. 2 15 would at least 1500rms right? if so that would only leave me 2 12s but if two 15 can run at such a low 600 rms i would take it

simpler way - which would sound better with 600rms spl 2 12 or 2 15?

with 600rms, you aren't getting alot. and the L7's prefer 750+ in all honestly. either save up your money so you can buy a kx1200.1, 1250.1 or one of the new kicker amps, or just go with something different altogether. you could find something else on your budget and get an amp as well for the price of one of the L7's.

600rms=1200watts? or im wrong?

if 600rms is really not enough to run a l7, ill get a l5

in all honesty, the amps i mentioned put out more than 1200wrms. most if not all are benched around 1500rms (750 each@1ohm load).

L5's may be better for you as they have a lower power demand.

or maybe a 10" L7 or something. the 12" L7s i think are 700-750 rms and the 15s are like 850-900.

but the new models are known to handle a ton more than recommended.

are the new l5s just as good as the new l7s? (on break downs)
all the new 06 lines are made the same quality. they fixed a bunch of the problems the formers had like tinsel breaks and all that. if you have the money, 06 is the way to go. plus a lot better sq than the former. better power handling, better mechanical/thermal handling, etc.

but amplifiers, i like they're old school shtuff.

but new ones are still great and underrated just as well.

**** now i remembered, if they fixed it and give it more sq, wouldnt the new 06's be weaker on the spl? or is it higher?

i said it had better sq. not that it's the best sq driver. it still has it's spl. it very much still retains it's high output. just ask someone who owns one. there's a guy in here who competes with 1 L7 and he's hitting almost 150db i think. or ask polecat as he works for kicker. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

if the older ones had issues, mainly when they were pushed past mechaincal limits, nothing any other drievr could do, problem wise.

The new ones has alot more advancements, and can be done either way, SQ, or SPL, you choose //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
