Getting 18" 4HP Recone Kit?

C0CK,its whats for dinner
I have an 18" 4HP sub by TC Sounds. It has dual 2 ohm coils, and I just bought an IA 20.1, so I want to lower the load on the amp to get the most out of it.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I might get a recone kit, I emailed TC Sounds but they never gave me a reply, and they dont have a phone number. I believe it uses 4" coils, I am not positive on that though.

Also, would I just be able to attatch any basket to my motor, or does it not work like that?

Keep in mind, when you lower the impedance of your amp, you also lower the Bl product of your driver. You're best bet is to add a second amp. The TC4HP's are monsters. I have seen them take 3000 watts like candy. If you want, we can sell you the top assembly with the quad 1 ohm coil for about $425. I know its not cheap, but that’s our current price for the 18's. Our new TC4HP's are called the TC-5200's and they are $850 each, and that's manufacture direct. They are bit more efficient than the older ones because of a new tall surround to allow for more cone area.

LOL... lowering the Bl product of the driver with a lower impedance, but keeping the same amount of wire in the gap wont make any difference in real world output.

I'll sell you an 18" recone kit for $200. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
