The plan right now is to bridge the germs at about 160wrms....and suffer an eargasm. I'm so looking forward to this. LOL
But that doesn't mean he can sell all those brands to you over the internet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gifhe is a real dealer...has the best prices on quality audio brands like ARC,DLS, Rainbow, Diamond, Eclipse, etc. don't cal him for any pyle audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I've played my germs without any HPF at low volumes and was amazed at how they sounded. I wouldn't try it with more than 50w though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. I agree re: the tweeters -- they are just awesome. They really smooth out once you've gotten them broken in too; i found them very BRIGHT when first installed but that dissapeared within a few hours of listening. My current x-over point varies...i think i need to deaden my doors before i really can tell where i want to leave it. 12db/80hz sounds good. 18db/63hz sounds good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI like them. coming from CDT's on the same amp these do not get as loud but I am still "breaking" them in. I deadened my doors while installing these so it is it tough to measure them against my prior frontstage. however, I have the hpf at times at 50hz for fun and they sound great...someone thought I had a 10" sub on the outside of my car. I play them with the HPF at 80 with my 15" avalanche sealed and they can stay up with the sub, but the sub still overpowers many songs with nice bass lines. the tweeter is my favorite aspect...never have I heard a tweeter play so "low". it might be in my head but I really enjoy the sound and it all blends together nicely. I cannot tell what speaker is playing which frequency which is a good thing. did you tune the xovers at all? I have not touched them yet. I might bridge my new amp I am gettin shortly to give them around 90-100x4@4ohms.
