i hear glowing reviews for both these models...

though i have only heard the pro60s in a shop i'm intrigued by the volume of good words i hear about the diamon hexs.

what is everyone's opinions? perhaps some people have heard both and could compare for me. they are in the same price point for me and i'd like to upgrade from the crummy, muddy coax's in my front doors.

i listen to all sorts of music from rock to classical, techno to jazz...

installed the diamond hex in my friends 240 over the weekend, and it does seem to lack midbass. i played some songs with a lot of double kick and it just didnt seem to impress me.

I love DA subs and Amps but the speakers arent up to par &

todays hex's are not what they once were..

I sold mine off because yes they had no midbass, the silk tweet was boring

and lacked detail .With some tweet upgrades to LPG's(old style HEX tweets) they came alive but the MB was the deciding factor - I wouldent waste your dough

I have never heard the Boston Pro's so I cant comment on them

Hex's are all about mids, but would be better suited to a ported kickpod that is tuned to like 70 hz or so, not the easiest thing to do in most cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Both sound their best with lots of power, at least 110w per side with the Bostons in my expirence.

thanks for the response guys!

i can find some good prices on the internet, but i know a local vendor (though overpriced) i would rather bargain with them and see if they can match the price.

pro60s it is. now how to power them.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I have had both the hex's and i currently have the cdt hd-62's. The cdt's sound so much better to me. I have no experiance witht he pro60's though, but u might want to give cdt a look.

My Pro60's have become the "reference standard" for my speaker choice, they just sound head and tails better than anything I've heard before, some of which include Focals, Kappas, Diamonds, Coax Bostons, Alpines, Pioneers etc...

It's true though, they want plenty of power, deck power is a joke on these things, and seal for best results.
