i'm looking for a high quality 2 ch amp to push a 3-way 8" dynaudio comp set. the comp is rated at 200 rms. i thought the zapco 750.2 would do it. it would be i'm looking for plenty of head room to play with. i looked up genesis. they look similar to dls. anbody use these amps? any genesis dealers on this forum? thanx.

You might find it interesting to call Dynaudio N.A. and ask them what amplifier they use in their listening room as their "reference": The GENESIS Dual Mono Extreme!

If that is the price range you are looking for.....that is certainly a great option.

Why are you unhappy with your current Zapco ?? What price range are you looking to be in ?? And what power range are you looking into ?? What features do you want the amplifier to have ??

The Genesis and those in the same price range are certainly fine specimens.....but don't think you need to spend that much. There are certainly excellent, high quality amplifiers that would suit you well at much less cost.

uhhh... i was just looking for a decent amp that would have plenty of head-room for those particular comps. i know from experience that sometimes the most exspensive doesn't necessarily mean it's the best choice. i'd love to find an amp that doesn't cost soo much. for the record i don't have the zapco 750.2- that's what i had my mind set on for my next system. i just sold my dls a3. it was rated at 150x2 @ 4ohm. pretty good amp. for musical choices i listen to mostly metal. i also enjoy classical and of course pink floyd.

price range? under a 1000

power range 200X2 or higher @ 4ohm

amp options? 2ohm stable, high pass filter
